Arriving from Eastern Austria, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary:

West motorway Vienna – Salzburg (A 1), exit Wals-Lofer, border crossing …, continue via Bad Reichenhall to the border crossing Steinpaß, Lofer, direction Zell am See, Maishofen, Viehhofen.
or
West motorway Vienna – Salzburg (A 1) to the Salzburg junction, on the Tauern motorway (A 10) towards Villach, Bischofshofen junction, on the Pinzgauer Bundesstraße B 311 towards Zell am See, Maishofen, Viehhofen

Arrival from Germany:

Motorway Munich – Salzburg (A8) to the Siegsdorf exit. From there we continue towards Inzell. Keep going until you come to a junction that is described as Lofer. At the Steinpass you pass the state border and continue to Lofer. From there it goes on to Saalfelden and on towards Zell am See. In Maishofen you reach the exit into the Glemmtal. From there it is only 6 km to Viehhofen.

You do not need a motorway vignette for this route!

Arriving from Italy, Slovenia, Croatia (Villach):

Tauernautobahn Villach – Salzburg (A10), Bischofshofen junction, on the Pinzgauer Bundesstraße B 311 towards Zell am See, Maishofen, Viehhofen.
or
Tauernautobahn Villach – Salzburg (A10), after Spittal the next exit to the Mallnitz – Böckstein car loading station, continue on the Pinzgauer Bundesstraße B 311 towards Zell am See, Maishofen, Viehhofen.

Arriving from Italy (Brenner):

Brenner motorway (A 13) Direction Innsbruck, exit Innsbruck Ost, continue on the Inntalautobahn (A 12) direction Wörgl, exit Wörgl West, continue on federal road 312 to Saalfelden, Maishofen, Viehhofen.

Train:

The closest train station for you is Zell am See. ÖBBwill be happy to provide information on train information. From Zell am See you can take the Postbus, which runs every one or two hours, to Viehhofen. There is also a taxi rank in front of the Zell am See train station.

Plane:

The closest international airport is Salzburg. All major airlines have Salzburg as their arrival and departure destination. Shuttle buses also run from Salzburg to our region.
